Daisy Cakes and Bakes is a registered and licensed home-based business located on the Sunshine Coast in QLD (formerly of Canberra ACT). We strictly abide by our food licensing requirements in the interest of public health. This includes maintaining records in accordance with a food business registered by the Sunshine Coast Council, such as monitoring and recording refrigeration temperatures used for storing ingredients, using certain products for hand washing and sanitation of our workspace, allowing the Sunchine Coast Council access for inspections of our kitchen and food handling premises, and labeling our products correctly.
In addition to our Sunshine Coast food business registration and license, we are insured and hold Food Safety Supervisory qualifications, and an ABN as required by the Australian Taxation Office. We love to have fun because we love what we do, but we take running a business seriously, and will not compromise our business by working outside the guidelines. We appreciate your respect for our business by not asking us to bend the rules for a product we are not permitted to sell.
Daisy Cakes and Bakes is a professional member of the Australian Cake Artists and Decorators Association (ACADA), and the Australian Cake Decorating Network. Owner, Renee Jarrett has completed numerous industry specific courses and skills development programs run by accredited industry professionals, from beginner level to advanced, including master classes.
Renee's cakes and gingerbread houses have won places in various competitions across the ACT and NSW, including the Royal Canberra Show and the Queanbeyan-Palaerang Regional Council Christmas In July events. Renee has also supported multiple community efforts and charities, including Breast Cancer Research Biggest Morning Tea; the PANDSI Cake Off; and Sweet Chari-tea events to raise funds and awareness for those who need a helping hand.
